Under age 18 and Enrolled in our Teen Course
1. Pre-apply for a first license at (If you have a Washington ID, skip to step 2)
2. Call Parkside with the WDL number.
3. Visit a DOL office with photo ID, original birth certificate, and any other required documentation. (See DOL website for more info)
4. Pay DOL $25 fee
5. Pass DOL vision screening
6. Obtain Permit
7. You will be eligible to take the Knowledge test after you complete the traffic safety education course.
Skills Test (The drive test):
To obtain a license, choose the path below that you fit in.
Under age 18
1. Complete a traffic safety education course
2. Pass the Knowledge Test
3. Schedule a Skills Test appointment with Ready 2 Drive.
4. Visit Parkside at the scheduled time with Permit.
5. Pass the skills test with at least an 80% score.
6. You will be eligible to visit a DOL office and obtain a license once you are at least 16 years old, have had your permit for at least 6 months, and have accumulated at least 50 hours of supervised driving experience.
7. DOL license fee: $89
18 and over
1. Pass the Knowledge Test
2. Schedule a Skills Test appointment with Ready 2 Drive.
3. Visit Parkside at the scheduled time with Permit.
4. Pass the skills test with at least an 80% score.
5. You will be eligible to visit a DOL office and obtain a license as soon as a passing score has been electronically reported to the DOL.
